Putti and her friend had loads of fun making these Not-So-Scary Play Dough Monsters.
This was done on an impromptu play date for Putti and her friend. I had nothing planned for the two girls. I just gave them some play dough and they were free to pick things to add to it as they wanted. All the play dough accessories like googly eyes, sticks, chenille stems, buttons, beads, feathers, craft sticks etc are always readily available for Putti.
I was in and out of the kitchen getting the lunch ready, while the girls were busy with their play dough creations. At first the girls had picked googly eyes and were poking the eyes into their flattened play dough. The more eyes you add, more monster-er it looked they thought.
After a while, they had picked up some chenille stems and started cutting them as per their own liking.
Love this cute little guy, with a red mouth.
Two little green monsters which the girls said are gonna be their pets.
Love how the mouth was made for this guy by poking their finger tip to create round impressions.
The girls spent over an hour playing and creating these play dough monsters. Love such simple and fun activity. This Play Dough Monsters activity is best for a quiet after-school activity, independent classroom center, halloween party, weekend morning or a play date. Books:
