We dont get those beautiful fall colors in Florida. There are very few maple trees in our place and also since the cold sets in pretty late here, those trees too take a long time to show the fall colors. And sometimes because of the rain or wind, they all do fall off within a day or 2 before we can even enjoy them:(
Its not yet very cold here, but leaves are falling off the trees and Putti loves the crunchy sound of them when she walks over them.
This post at That Artist Woman inspired me to try it out with Putti. I put some watered down black paint on the card stock and showed putti to blow it with a straw. It was a bit difficult for her.
Yet, she did not want to give up completely. We both took turns in blowing the paints. After it dried, she loved making leaves with her fingertips dipped in paints. She really loved this part.
Pin It Now!

Roopa
beautiful!
Thank you Laura!
Thanks a lot for this wonderful idea. My 3+ year old was supposed to make a painting for school tommorow and this idea saved our day ;-) She is not much into painting, but, this was so simple that even she could do it. We used blowing through straw technique for making the tree and coloring on wet paper technique for sky effect. Used earbuds for leaves n flowers.
You are welcome Namitha. Glad to know you and your daughter loved the idea. Would love to see her picture, please do share on ur blog or post on my facebook wall.
Love it! Looks like fun and they are beautiful. I would love for you to add this to my weekly Mom's Library Weekly Link-Up.
